This blog is in celebration of a man of Polish descent who has taught us much over the years, about life, self reliance, food, mechanical ingenuity, and his Polish heritage.  We're calling him Ja-Ja, although in polish it is spelled Dzia dek.  The stories that follow will animate a life that we can all learn a little bit from....

We're Thankful for...Babka!

This year, with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy fresh in our minds, it is good to reflect on the simple things in life that we are thankful for.  This means Babka!  Baked just like in the old country, with raisins and eggs, this treat is truly something to be thankful for.
